I went on an Outward Bound trip in the NY Appalacian Mtns when I was 12 with this girl! So random! I was flipping through the tbt and there she was, a hoola hoop professional

The MOSI bridge, much to my delight, is finally open again! The elevator has been broken for weeks. Although it's short, I enjoy riding above the traffic and not having to cross the Fowler intersection. I feel so free up there, especially in the middle where you can look down through a window in the floor at all the traffic below you. January had some brutal cold, windy mornings but today was definitely some of the strongest wind so far this year. I can't wait to be able to invest in a bike that has functioning breaks and handlebars to lower my body to ride smoother during days like today.
Now back to the studies.

I've got my body and my mind on the same page and now happiness is all the rage
Every time I read something Christine has written I feel inspired to write. And so, I have decided to start using words myself. (long pause, stare at computer screen) With everything that is going on in my life and head right now I don't have a clue where to begin...
I've decided to hibernate for a couple of days, I MUST focus on my thesis and I have another midterm in less than a week. I was hoping to not leave my house, but I realized I have no food in the fridge, classes in the mornings and meetings at night. I suppose this hibernation will come down to not chatting on the phone, not drinking beers at Dunderbacks, and not interneting. It is better to speak of the Do's then the Don'ts though. I will be watching videos/interviews and reading a lot about human security in the Americas, journalizing my thoughts via discussion board, and studying for the exam Monday. I will also finish reading Reporting Vietnam: Media and Military at War, The Uncensored War, Vietnam: A History, and The Pentagon Papers (all which are due back by Saturday, no more renewing). And most importantly, thesis writing!
This first post of words was probably entirely uninteresting, but its a start. I'm used to lists, what can I say, at least this list got turned into sentences. The more I let out of my head the more I can learn about what's in it. Frankly, I don't like writing because I don't like looking back.
So here is to looking ahead!

10 years a nanny I am.
That pretty much sums up my weekend... Kids playing, kids pooling, kids ice creaming, kids nail polishing, kids playgrounding, kids fighting, kids reading, and kids being kids...
